I'm a former president of a Florida homeowners association.
The president of our Property Management Company signed a lien and it notarized stating that she was it's authorized Board member. The lien was for non payment of assessment. She is not a member of the BOD. Why she did this I have no idea but it sounds to illegal to me.
Any suggestions?

Our association's attorney files a lien on behalf of the association. He is instructed to do so by our property manager (CAM) after authorization from the Board. Are you saying there was no authorization from the board to file this lien?
