hi, this will probably be a new one... i live in a michigan association in the manistee national forest. my husband is disabled but is able to do jobs that aren't overly physical. he has held the snow plowing contract for the past 2 years. a friend of his was back up incase he was unable to preform when needed. the property owners of the association appreciated his need to feel useful. this year the executive members of the board decided to bid out the contract. they gave the contract to an able bodied man with a full time job who is charging more money for less work. he does the plowing when he gets around to it. the president of our association told me the executive board can hire whom ever they please and there's nothing i can do about it. besides waiting till next years meeting of property owners, is there anything i can do? and i have a major concern with ambulances not being able to get in if needed and with me not being able to get out if needed because the current plow man won't plow till mid afternoon. any ideas???
