The subdivision I live in was turned over to the association by the developer about seven years ago. When it was turned over trustees were elected for three year stagered terms. The indenture state trustees are to be elected for one year terms. The subdivision has always observed the three year term but recently has been questioned of this. There has never been an issue and all of the indentures I have read for other subdivisions provide for a three year stagered terms. Should my subdivision revert to one year terms even though to me it seems it would allow for a potential turn over of trustees each year thus not allowing for consistancy and budgeting for needed maintenance?
