Question? Is it legal for the board to state that they will hold annual elections for the board and anyone interested in being posted on the ballet to send in a letter about you and your background.
The night of the meeting takes place and a few of the candidates aren't there who did place their name on the ballet for nomination was told by the board to be scratched off the list because they were not present during election day. Wasn't the letter enough to introduce the nominee without them being present and this was never stated in the nomination forms that was sent in the mail for initial sign up.

Denise, the Board has no authority to remove the name of an owner who has declared they are a candidate. They do not have to be present at the meeting but it could reduce their chance of being elected.
