I've had a vehicle in my (numbered) parking space for a little over a week, now. It has clearly not moved. I've left notes, but haven't been successful with the removal of this vehicle. Aside from the fact that I have no clue how to prove its MY parking spot, how would I go about having this car moved? There are no parking permits or passes... Just numbered spots. Are there stipulations on condominium owner vehicles being parked for a specific amount of days? Would I call parking compliance? Or is it different in the communities parking lot, as opposed to a city street? I just want my spot back.

JennB:
If the parking spot belongs to you, then the spot would of been deeded to you when you purchased the property. That would of been included in your escrow papers. Additionally, the Management Company or Board of Directors should have a copy of the parking spot numbers and the corresponding owners.
You should contact either the Board or Management Company to view the spot and contact the towing company. Depending on your city ordinances, there are variations to the protocol of removing an abandoned car.
Some towing companies allow associations that have deeded parking spots to have towing cards. These cards are distributed by the management company/towing company to individual owners who can prove that they are legal owner of the parking spots. These cards allow the owner to have cars towed that are parked in their deeded parking spots without their permission. I had an association where several homeowners were parking in spots that they did not own! We issued these towing cards, and these occurrences have decreased tremendously.
