Section 8 Compensation as written "No compensation shall be paid to Directors for their services as Directors. After the 1st annual meeting of the Members, no
remuneration shall be paid any Directors who is also a member of the Association
for services performed for the Association in any other capacity unless a resolution authorizing such remuneration shall have been adopted by the Board of
Directors before the services are undertaken".

Section 3 Right of Entry as written"For the purposes solely of performing
any of these repairs or maintenance required or authorized by the Bylaws,or in the events of a bona fide emergency involving illness or potential danger to life or property, the Association, through its duly authorized agents or employees, shall
have the right, after reasonable efforts to give notice to the Owners or occupant,
to enter upon Lot at any hour considered to be reasonable under the circumstances". Our CCRs and Bylaws have no amendments since interception, September 5, 1995

Thanks in advance for any help

Jay,

To put your mind at ease, there is nothing here that is strikingly unusual in HOA docuemnts. Section 8 means that no members of the Board (Directors as they are called here) are to recieve any wages or payments for acting as Directors of the HOA. (very normal in many States)

Section 3 means that in what might be considered an emergency, "in the events of a bona fide emergency involving illness or potential danger to life or property, the Association, through its duly authorized agents or employees, shall
have the right, after reasonable efforts to give notice to the Owners or occupant,
to enter upon Lot at any hour considered to be reasonable under the circumstances".

This might be interuption of servce due to some act of natures, flodding, even a big ole nasty creature causeing a threat to members of the community. It all looks okay to me.

In addition to what Donna posted, section 8 also allows a Board member to do work for the HOA not directly related to his Board duties i.e. provide lawn mowing of the common areas and be paid for it but only after a Board vote.
