Besides the Deed Restrictions, and Covenants, what Ohio Laws govern Single Family Home Owners Associations, that are incorporated to be a non-profit organiztion.
Our BOD is telling us that only non-profit laws govern them. That Ohio does not have home owners association laws that pertain to single family homes.
Our Chapter 5311 of the Ohio Revised Code states that it is for Condominums????

Our BOD has also mysteriously found a new Code of Regulations. I have tried to communicate that I did not beleive these were valid or enforceable, but they seem to think they are, called them the homeowner's Bill of Rights.
NEED HELP! ! ! !

I am not sure, but I think I read the Homeowner's Bill of Rights" as a guide, written by CAI...Does it look like the following?

Also I just found this item...if you scroll halfway down the page there is a "Suggested" Bill of Rights--which is a compilation of suggested guidelines--in California...I think that is all I have read. I don't believe any have been adopted into law. Anyone else help?

Your state should have property codes that includes single family homes as well as condos.
