I'd like to know how to deal with this.

I have been on our internet group site for your hoa for over 5 years. I recently had a conflict with our board which caused bad blood between us personally.... saying that I am ok with everything, but my "friends" on the board are not.

Today I attempted to arrange a coffee and brunch for our community club house. I went to our internet group site for our hoa ( this is which all homeowner's communicate ). I went to log in and I was denied access... meaning I was removed!!

I emailed our hoa board of directors and asked why was I removed... I have yet to hear a response.

Meanwhile... is there anyway else I can approach this??

Noelle,

First of all, make sure that there is either a technical eror or some type of mistake with your access not working. If that is all clear, then you need to find out from the Board if indeed, you were removed. As a member of the association and that you are current in your dues, the group site should be allowed for all paying members, which you should be. They may not deny you access to the site unless there is a posting policy that you are violating. Do your leg work and find out what happened first before reacting badly to this.

I found out since posting this.. that indeed they "accidently" removed me from the site.. due to be reinstated.

I would also like to know what went on between you and the Board.

Sounds like drastic action was taken. And the reason??????? I would be interested in knowing.

Did you want different flowers planted or have you made threats on their lives?

There is quite a range of disputes that may have occured best to judge their behavior while knowing what happened beforehand.

Noelle,

Good thing that you did not go "off" on the Board. My policy is to work it out.

No drastic action was really taken, however, the board and hit's HOA Prez. were caught allowing other homeowner's or "friends" use the cludhouse and it's facilities for personal use.. free of charge. ( meaning it was occupied promoting home based business(s) and it was freely offered for a homeowner's fund raising efforts due to an accident. As lame as that sounds, it's unfair to let one homeowner use the clubhouse to have NONIE Juice presentation, vs. not allowing another homeowner to use it for the use of a local charity based event.... The bias was called forth and the Board had no other choice other than to make the universal regulatory rule.. if you want to use the clubhouse for personal use for an event.. one must RENT IT... despite being friends or neighbors of the PREZ who got preferred freebie treatment..
I wrote a proper complaint about this and got it sorted out last HOA MTG. Low and behold.. after being on the same internet group for 5 years.. I was "accidently" removed. Not so sure about how that happened. Nobody else was "accidently removed.."

None the less, it's in the past.. bizarreness lives in every HOA>

That is all.

Noelle ... It is great you took Donna's advise to check out whether or not it was possibly a "technical error". If possible it is best not to jump to conclusions when we are all in an HOA community as sometimes there are issues not known or beyond one's control.

We will never know if this "accident" was done by accident or on purpose.
Sounds like it might be fishy to me that with this matter over the rental of space you suddenly are off the list of users.

Sounds to me like MAYBE someone used your memebership to get back at you.

I would let that go and move forward. It was their shortcomings that allowed them to act in such a manner. If you are reinstated as promised just understand what type of folks you are dealing with in the future.

Sadly you are right this is not uncommon when people and their feelings and agendas get caled out. Sometimes they act in ways not thought out and come around when called on it.

Good luck and I hope this settles this matter for good.

"Never attribute to malice that which can be adequately explained by stupidity"

one of my favorite quotes... there's a chance it applies, and if not, it still makes you the better person for believing it does.

I think it's a quote all of us should use and apply as necessary.
