Our State does not offer seperate HOA laws, and condominium law. Our new BOD seems to think that the only law that mandates over our HOA is our State Law of non-profit organizations. Since our State Laws are titled condominium law, everyone I have spoke with seems to think that these are the only rules that apply.

Just need to clarify, with someone who might know.

I am a HOA Board member, who when quoted a law that was in the condo law has been threatened with "legal action if this line of questioning is not stopped"

NEED SOME HELP

Michelle, "Single-family home" means a residential building consisting of one dwelling unit and which is arranged, intended or designed for one family. The term shall include a manufactured home and a condominium under Chapter 5311 of the Revised Code. You can view it on-line at http://onlinedocs.andersonpublishing.com/oh/lpExt.dll?f=templates&fn=main-h.htm&cp=OAC

There was a major update to association rules in 2004 with H.B. 135 - you can find updates and relevant articles at: http://www.ohiocondolaw.com/
