We have a lovely greenbelt on our property. Its full of tree's and has left untouched since I have been there (7 Years)

Under the tree's is a bunch of thick black berries and really have taken off growing. We have a neighbor lately took it among himself to up and remove the black berries. I personally think it looks great. All cleaned out. Of course some others do not feel that way. This neighbor and myself both attended a local company sponsered a meeting about general HOA topics. In that meeting they told us its the responsability to maintain the greenbelt and it is ok to remove the black berries since they fall in the Noxious weed.

I thought I should check with local county office and check to see if we are breaking any laws. I cant not find any office that would respond. We are not touching any tree's and know you have to have permits to do so.

Any advice where I should go? I would sleep better at night if I knew we are staying within the laws of the county and would help talk to the people that are complaining.

-Todd

Thanks Again - the responses I get have been incredible and helpful.

Todd, if the greenbelt is a common area in the HOA then the Board can decide. But individual owners should not have removed the black berries without the permission of the Board.

Thanks Roger

I agree. Not to defend him or his actions he is a member of our architectural committee so he thought he could do the work.
