Does anyone know what are the procedures that must be taken in order to change the name of our Association?
What documents need to be changed and does it take a vote of the
membership to change the name?

In most cases, it takes a vote to change anything which is part of the legally recorded documents pertaining to an association. The process for such should be included in the document.

You would likely have to change your recorded Declaration, bank accounts, corporation/non-profit info (if applicable), taxpayer name. You would also need to notify all members and mortgage holders involved.

Thanks, It is a property owners association in Florida not tour Association.
Your info will be helpful to present to the Board that a name change is a little more involved
than just changing our association's name.
